Douglas Antos Joins the Goldwater Scholarship Foundation Staff

Douglas Antos is a highly skilled executive assistant and program management professional with a wealth of experience in the defense and intelligence sectors. He has a proven track record of supporting the highest levels of senior executives, managing complex schedules, and coordinating strategic communications to ensure seamless operations. Currently, Douglas serves as the Administrative Assistant for The Goldwater Foundation where he supports daily administrative operations and Scholar program in conjunction with the Administrative Officer.

Previously, Douglas held significant roles at FTS International LLC and ManTech International Corporation, where he provided vital support to the National Reconnaissance Office’s Non-Traditional SIGINT Program Office. His duties involved coordinating responses to senior leadership, managing office relocations, and advising on personnel management processes.During his tenure at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), Douglas Antos recognized the critical importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in driving innovation and maintaining national security. He observed firsthand how advancements in these fields were essential for developing cutting-edge reconnaissance technologies and ensuring the effectiveness of intelligence operations. Douglas’s experience at NRO underscored the need for a strong STEM foundation to support the agency’s mission and inspired him to advocate for STEM education and initiatives that would cultivate the next generation of technical experts and leaders.

Douglas’s career includes notable positions at General Dynamics, Booz Allen Hamilton, IT Concepts, Inc., and Insight Global. In these roles, he demonstrated his ability to manage communications, streamline processes, and support strategic initiatives. His military background as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps infantry further highlights his leadership and organizational skills, having served in roles such as Squad Leader and Presidential Security.

Douglas is happily married to Catherine Jane Antos, and they are the proud parents of their two-year-old daughter, Cora Jane Antos. The family enjoys an outdoor lifestyle in Richmond, VA, where they love spending time together and creating cherished memories.
